Advent calendar 2020

Through the Vietti Advent calendar we want to retrace together a part of our long history. We have thought a lot about what could be the most interesting and identifying path to realize it. The answer turned out to be very simple: our labels.

Day after day, from December 1st until Christmas Eve you will progressively discover a space containing our labels, lost and found.

In this way we wish to ideally accompany you
to Christmas in a different, original
and surprising way, like a wine tasted
in small sips.

Barolo Riserva Villero 2013 (Artist Label)

This is our latest Artist Label created by Alessandro Piangiamore and dedicated to the Barolo Villero Riserva 2013. This is one of the most modern and intriguing labels of our collection.

Nebbiolo 1991 Perbacco

1991: first vintage of our Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco.

Barbera d'Alba 1990 Pian Romualdo

Barbera d'Alba produced for about 20 years with grapes coming from the historic Pian Romualdo vineyard (since the end of the '70s).

Pelaverga: very rare and peculiar grape variety produced by the Vietti family for 7 years (in the '80s).

1988: the last vintage of our Fioretto, a blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera (Vigna Vecchia) coming from the Scarrone vineyard in Castiglione Falletto. In 1989 the Nebbiolo vineyards were uprooted to plant Barbera, that is now used to produce our Barbera d'Alba Vigna Scarrone.

Barbaresco 1987 Rabajà

Rabajà: a great Cru we have always been fond of. With the 2019 harvest it will be a great pleasure for us to announce its comeback.

Nebbiolo d'Alba 1986 Località San Michele

Nebbiolo produced with grapes coming from the historic San Michele vineyard, in the Roero region. Today this label is dedicated to our new entry: the Timorasso.

Dolcetto d'Alba 1982 Località Disa

Today in "Disa" only Nebbiolo for Barolo is to be found. Here, in the past, winegrowers used to produce Dolcetto.

1980: the first vintage of our Moscato. The original drawing was made of 5 superposed coloured woods and designed by the great artist Gianni Gallo (author of the majority of the labels we still use today).

Dolcetto d'Alba 1979 Località Ginestre

Wine produced with grapes hailing from a small vineyard (1 hectare) within the Barolo area, in the famous Ginestra MGA in Monforte.

Barbera d'Alba 1979

Label of Barbera Magnum, produced in the '70s with grapes coming from the Ginestra MGA in Monforte.

Barolo 1978 Località Castiglione

The production of our Barolo Castiglione started with this label in 1971. At that time it was a blend of grapes coming from different vineyards within the Municipality of Castiglione Falletto.

Barolo 1978 Località Briacca

Barolo produced in the 70's and 80's. The last vintage was 1983. Today Località Briacca is part of the Rocche di Castiglione MGA.

Grignolino 1976

This Grignolino was produced from the '60s up to the end of the '70s. The label drawing was made by Guido De Bonis. It was initially designed as Artist Label and successively dedicated to this wine.

Nebbiolo 1974 (Etichetta d'Autore)

Label designed by a great Italian artist: Pier Paolo Pasolini. This is one of our first "Artist labels".

Barbera 1970 Cru Bussia

The Vietti family members are longtime Barbera lovers. This wine used to be grown in historic Crus as the Bussia MGA in Monforte.

Barbera 1969 Rocche di Castiglione

A rare wine, produced between the end of the '60s until the '80s, with grapes coming from a small vineyard within the Rocche di Castiglione MGA.

Barbaresco 1967

The first Barbaresco Masseria vintage was released in 1964 and was "dressed" with this label.

Nebiolo 1962 Cru Roeri

Also among the Roero hills the focus was on high quality Nebbiolo grapes. Today in those vineyards people grow Roero Arneis.

Barolo 1961 Rocche di Castiglione

First vintage and first MGA produced as single vineyard in the Barolo area.

Moscato Spumante 1960

A pleasantly fresh and aromatic wine, produced in the '60s for personal consumption.

Barbera del Piemonte 1958

Personally created by Luciana Vietti and dedicated to the Barbera.

Vino Freisa 1947

This is one of the oldest labels of our archive. Wine produced in the '30s and '40s.
